Celebrating Mandela Day: 67 Minutes of Kindness at Maspark
At Maspark, we believe that kindness has the power to bring people together, inspire change, and leave a lasting impact. This Mandela Day, our team embraced the spirit of giving by dedicating our 67 Minutes to meaningful acts that celebrated compassion, unity, and community.
One of the highlights of the day was preparing a big pot of pasta using Regano Pasta Sauce, lovingly made and shared amongst our team. It was more than just a meal. It was an opportunity to come together, connect, and reflect on the importance of generosity and caring for one another. Sometimes, the simplest gestures can have the greatest impact, and sharing a warm meal is a reminder that kindness often starts around the table.
To create something that would continue inspiring us long after Mandela Day had passed, we also came together to design a Maspark Handprint Mural. Every team member dipped their hands in paint, leaving a colourful handprint on the mural as a symbol of the unique role they play within the Maspark family. Alongside each handprint, everyone wrote a personal message or motivational quote—words of encouragement, hope, gratitude, and positivity that will continue to inspire both our colleagues and visitors every day.
The mural now proudly hangs within our office, serving as a permanent reminder that every individual has the ability to make a difference. Just as every handprint is unique, every act of kindness leaves its own meaningful mark.
Adding an extra personal touch to the day, each department's line manager included a handwritten note with every meal served. These messages expressed appreciation, encouragement, and gratitude to their teams, reminding everyone how valued they are and reinforcing the supportive culture we strive to build at Maspark.
Mandela Day is about more than dedicating 67 minutes, it's about carrying the values of kindness, respect, service, and unity with us every day. We are incredibly proud of our team for embracing these values and creating moments that strengthened our workplace and celebrated the incredible people who make Maspark what it is.
As we look back on this special day, we're reminded that meaningful change doesn't always come from grand gestures. It comes from people coming together, supporting one another, and choosing kindness whenever they can.
Together, we painted more than a mural—we painted a picture of who we are as a team. And together, we'll continue to build a workplace where compassion, community, and making a difference remain at the heart of everything we do.
